1. What is Bible Quizzing all about?
   The Bible Quizzing program of the Christian and Missionary Alliance is a scripture memory and competition opportunity for young persons in junior high and high school. The Quiz year officially runs from August 1 through July 31. In accordance with the World Bible Quizzing Association schedule, each year a portion of New Testament scripture, a book or books, are designated as the "material" from which the year's competition will be conducted.

2. What is the CMQ Bible Quizzing Program like?
   There are 24 districts with quizzing programs in the Alliance, and each organizes its program in a slightly different manner according to size and geographical and preferential considerations, though all conduct competition in accordance with the C&MA Bible Quizzing Rule Book (PDF). Here in the Canadian Midwest District, we have up to 95 teams from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the western edge of Ontario representing 34 church groups. Teams are grouped into North and South regions for a regional meet which is usually held in November. District-wide meets, to which all CMQ teams are invited, take place in January, March, and May.

3. What is the Value of Quizzing?
   Beyond points and placement, quizzing provides an exciting, demanding, and loving framework through which teenagers get to memorize scripture. The competition encourages a learning process that teaches both quizzers and coaches the value of sportsmanship, fellowship and teamwork.

4. What Part of the Bible Will be Studied Next?
   We have a table that shows what areas of the Bible will be studied in the next years . Although this table correctly displays the location for the material in each future quizzing season, it does not indicate what sections of that material will be left out. Just prior to each season, the head quizmaster(s) will publish this year's specific material specifications.

5. Who is Eligible to quiz?
   At the beginning of the new quizzing year some coaches and parents often have questions about a teenager's eligibility to quiz with their church team. This Eligibility Policy statement will address CMQ's position on these matters and the philosophy of growth and expansion of Bible quizzing within our district.
