November Zone Meet Registration Information:

The November zone meets are fast approaching. The next zone meets will be Nov.10-12. One will be held in Outlook and one in Nipawin. There is a list below of which churches will be invited to which meet. Registration for both meets will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Outlook meet will wrap up after lunch (11:45-12:45 p.m.) on Sunday. The Nipawin meet will also conclude with Sunday lunch (12:00-1:00 p.m.). The cost for both meets will be $25 per person. Registrations are due Tuesday, Oct.31. We need this time to prepare billeting for all of the quizzers and coaches attending. Please download and fill out the form for the meet you are attending and then return it to the appropriate email address.

Question material content for both meets will include up to the end of Acts chapter 6 with 15 question quizzes in the A, B, and C divisions. Quizzers need to bring sleeping bags and pillows as well any personal items required for the meets. Luggage needs to be identified with each quizzer’s name and church group.

We will be short quizzing benches and scoreboards for Outlook because Avalon will be attending the Nipawin Meet. If there are any churches attending the Outlook meet that can bring metal benches and/or scoreboards, please include that information on your registration form.

The social for the Outlook meet will be the Amazing Race Outlook. Quizzers need to come prepared for a great time with appropriate outdoor winter clothing. Vehicles will be required for this social so we are asking coaches and drivers to be available to take the quizzers around Outlook. If there will not be a vehicle available for your quizzers or if you will have extra room for additional quizzers on Saturday night, please mark that on your registration form.

The social for Nipawin will be held at Nipawin Bible Institute. There may be a few activities outside so quizzers are asked to bring warm winter clothing, however the majority of the social will be inside. The quizzers will need a ride from the church to NBI and back.

NEWS FROM YOUR CMQ COMMITTEE

By now many of our district quizzing churches have attended their first local meet on the book of Acts. We welcome new quizzers and the new church teams that have joined us. More scripture portions on Acts have been printed and are being distributed by Manitoba zone rep Brad Dueck.
Plans for two zone meets Nov 10-12 are moving ahead and Angela Davis of Prince Albert, the new registrar, will be contacting each church quizzing coordinator in CMD with instructions about registering for one of the meets. As a general guideline teams in Regina and southwest of Hwy 11 will be going to Outlook, SK. Teams in Saskatoon and northwest of Hwy 11 including those in MB will be invited to the meet in Nipawin, SK. Cost at both meets remains the same at $25 for each person attending.

Merv Hepting will again be preparing the quizzing directory and contacting you. So coaches please have a list ready of all your potential quizzers (with their gender and grade) to fill out his form.

Steve & Jamie Vincent will be leading a ministry team to our favorite Carribean Island Feb 14-25, 2007. An application form will soon be linked to our website for former and senior school year quizzers to apply. CMQ's mission's project for this year will be a youth center in the older part of the capital city. The team will be ministering with an exhuberant spanish pastor and his wife. We encourage all our quizzing teams to pray about ways to support this project.

Please pray for the CMQ executive as they meet in Saskatoon on Oct 22. Judy & Tom Vincent are back home from BC and thankyou for your prayers and thoughtfulness through the loss of her father.
