Plans for a great Quiz Meet at the Circle D Ranch
92 teams have registered to attend CMD's 1st district meet in Saskatoon at Circle Drive Alliance Church. Lots of great quizzing, good speakers, Praise & Worship time featuring Blaze and plans for the Saturday country fair have kept the CDA coaches extremely busy. To make this social a great success we are asking the quizzers and coaches to sport their western wear and country duds. Hope to see you at the Circle D Ranch. Tuesday, January 18, 2005THURSDAY, JANUARY 20th - Registration/Billeting deadline.
Registrations need to be in to Cherise and Glenda absolutely no later than Thursday (January 20th). If there are any changes (e.g. quizzers can't come or staying with friends or family instead of being billeted), please let Glenda know ASAP. Also, it would be very helpful if you would let Glenda know how many vans and cars you are bringing, so that she can send you to places that will take lots of billets if they have help with transportation.
Wednesday, January 12, 2005At Glenda's request I've made a couple of updates to the registration form.
First is a "billeting preference" column for the quizzers. Second is a "billeting required" column for the coaches.
It's really important that if you or any of your fellow coaches have their own accommodations arranged that you let Glenda know that. Any billets that don't have to be found for coaches are a bonus for the committee tasked with that very large job.
The link is the same as before. If you wish to have this latest version you can just click on it and download it again. Tuesday, January 11, 2005
As I'm sure you are all aware, the next quizmeet is coming up fast. It will be held at Circle Drive Alliance Church from January 28 - 30. Registration will be from 6:30 - 7:30 with quizzing starting at 8:00. Registration will be $25.00 per person. Please be sure to let us know if you plan to arrive later than 8:00 so the schedule can be prepared accordingly. CDA is excited about a Country and Western Hoe Down Social. Everyone is asked to wear their Western apparel for the evening.
We are going to try something different to register for this quizmeet. We have posted the quiz meet registration form here on the website. Circle Drive Alliance - January, 2005 - Quiz Meet Application The application form is an Excel document. You can download it, fill it out on your computer and then email it to quiz.registration@cmdquizzing.org and it will get to all the people who need to see it. Thanks for your help with this new system. Sunday, January 02, 2005
Travel Plans for Jan 13 Martin Luther Tournament TBA Soon
We are attempting to provide transportation for all 28 CMD quizzers who applied to participate in this meet. However, we are still short one vehicle holding 6 people and capable of towing our CMQ trailer with the equipment. In the event there is not room for everyone to travel, CMQ leadership will continue to treat this Minnesota competition as a developmental meet, giving priority to those quizzers who have had less opportunity to go before. Because we believe our needs will be met shortly we encourage all 28 applicants to continue to prepare their necessary documents (photo ID and parental permission slips), keep up their quizzing studies and pray with us for the necessary drivers and vehicles. Please contact Tom Vincent and Debbie Block if you can help. |
